Saying Grace All Year 'Round

Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow!  Why wait to say grace in November?! Voice your own prayers of thanks as the staff at Fresh Outlook and a few of our friends share some of our own special blessings that make every day one of joy.

I have so much in my life to be thankful for, but mostly, I am grateful for the privilege to freely serve such a mighty God!  I could easily end my list there, as it is in Him that my life is made full.  He is my benefits package!  But in addition to all that He is, I am thankful for those people that He has strategically placed in my life that cause me to grow daily.  For friendships that encourage and hold me accountable.  For a family who has strengthened me and supported me throughout my life, even when they could not understand my choices.  And finally, to know that tomorrow holds another great adventure that will lead me a step further into the plan He has for me.

With the tsunami and hurricanes of 2005, I am thankful for salvation, life itself, and for the wonderful family that the Lord has given me.  I thank God for today, realizing that we are not promised tomorrow.  And I am so grateful that Jesus Christ allows us to be His hands and feet to a hurting world.

I am thankful for the grace and the call of God on my life.  I’m so grateful that He never gives up on me and that His life in me is so much greater than the death that tries to overcome us in this world.  I am also very thankful for my Christian upbringing and for the wonderful husband and children God has given me.

I am thankful for my new car, my Mustang, and all the things God has made possible for me to put on it.  I am thankful for my job.  I am thankful for my Mom, who is always there for me.  I am thankful for my Nana and her Nana biscuits.  I am thankful for a lot of things, like my dogs, my bird, Louie – who is what I got for my birthday when I asked for a Louis Vuitton purse.  Mostly, I am thankful to God who is my peace, He will not allow me to go beyond my peace, if I don’t have peace about it, I know it is God stopping me, and for that I am thankful, He has saved me many times in this way.  I am thankful for my Amy, who I pick on at work everyday – it keeps me energized.

I am so very thankful for this year and the journey God has brought me through.  It was a difficult one, but it developed many things in me:  endurance, patience, perseverance, faith beyond what I had the year before, and solidity.  I am thankful that God doesn’t allow me to go the easy route, but takes me on the route that produces the most fruit in my life.  I am thankful for my family, a strong, loving Mom, wonderful sisters, a fantastic husband, and an adventuresome daughter, and I am thankful for my friends, who always cause me to want to be a better person – my cup runneth over.  I find myself thankful for grace and mercy these days and I find myself thankful for that peace that passes understanding more often.  I love You, God!, and I am so thankful You found me and are molding me in what You want me to be.  I am thankful for Jesus – the ultimate sacrifice, and for the Holy Spirit who is with me daily – leading me in the way You would have me go.  I am thankful that my daughter, Breanne, could make you laugh with what she is thankful for, it’s one of her gifts.

I am thankful for the blessings of a healthy family, including two beautiful, vibrant nieces, and wonderful friends with worth beyond measure.  I am thankful for Millie (and Lizzie and Daisy Mae, too). I’m thankful for Samantha and her unique spirit.  I’m grateful to be able to do what I love (and make a living at it), and to find creativity and inspiration amidst the stress of daily life!
